Debra A. Dinnocenzo President
Debra A.
Dinnocenzo is a published author with a unique approach to the
effective marketing of her books. When Ms. Dinnocenzo published her
first book, “101 Tips for Telecommuters” (Berrett-Koehler
Publishers, 1999), she met the marketing and promotion challenge
head-on by establishing a highly successful and virtual model for
book publicity. The virtual PR model was employed again to support
the publication of a second book co-authored by Ms. Dinnocenzo, “Dot
Calm: The Search for Sanity in a Wired World” (Berrett-Koehler
Publisher, 2001). Ms. Dinnocenzo brings to BookMarketingSuccess the
book marketing expertise she utilizes first-hand, along with a
wealth of experience in marketing, sales strategy, and collateral
product development and sales. Dinnocenzo has just launched a new
book, which is self-published: Working Too Much Can Make You Grumpy
(www.GrumpyBook.com).
A seasoned senior executive with more than two decades of corporate
and academic experience, Dinnocenzo has an extensive background in
sales and marketing. She is a nationally recognized expert in the
field of telework and a frequent speaker at national conferences on
virtual workplace and work-life balance issues. She is often quoted
in the media and is widely published on virtual work strategies and
techniques. Much of the media coverage Ms. Dinnocenzo has enjoyed is
directly attributable to the initiative and self-responsibility she
took for the marketing of her books. Additionally, she has
effectively promoted related products, including booklets, e-books,
mini books, articles, and learning guides.
An active member of her community, Dinnocenzo is involved in
numerous community service organizations. Additionally, she has
served on the board of directors of the national AAA; is vice
chairman of East Central AAA (American Automobile Association);
serves on the board of trustees of University of Pittsburgh Medical
Center Passavant Hospital; and is a member of the board of directors
of the Passavant Hospital Foundation. Dinnocenzo holds an adjunct
faculty position with Duquesne University where she delivers an
online course, “Leadership in the Virtual Workplace.”
Dinnocenzo holds Bachelor of Science and Masters of Arts degrees in
Management from Central Michigan University. She is founder and
president of VirtualWorks!, a learning and development firm that
specializes in telework, virtual teams, and work-life balance. Aside
from her work in the corporate and publishing arenas, Ms. Dinnocenzo
is a certified facilitator of Centering Prayer groups and Labyrinth
workshops
